How We Impact Our Community
Our Community Impact
At B’Jeweled, we believe that beauty runs deeper than accessories—it lives in the way we serve others.
Founded by former Detroit educator Serena Horton, B’Jeweled Jewelry & Accessories was built on a mission to uplift confidence, spark joy, and give back in meaningful ways. Our impact goes beyond fashion—we’re here to inspire transformation, one piece and one person at a time.
💎 Empowering the Next Generation
As a retired teacher and administrator from the Detroit Public Schools Community District, Serena’s heart remains with the youth. Through ongoing support of A.L. Holmes School, B’Jeweled:
- Donates jewelry and accessories to 8th-grade girls for their Moving On Ceremony and dance, helping them feel beautiful, confident, and celebrated.
- Gifts motivational tokens and journals to graduating students with uplifting messages to guide them through the transition to high school.
🤝 Giving Back Through Faith & Partnership
B’Jeweled has partnered with Grace Temple Church and is working to expand this initiative to 25 neighborhood churches through our Church Partnership Program. Here’s how it works:
- We donate 10% of congregation purchases back to their church’s community outreach efforts.
- The goal? To grow this giving to 20% through deeper engagement and future collaborations.
💗 Supporting Health, Wellness & Local Needs
We’re proud to support causes that touch the lives of our customers and community. A portion of our sales have been donated to:
- Breast Cancer Awareness efforts—helping women in the fight for their lives and their beauty.
-
Jive Turkey Detroit, a local initiative providing holiday meals to families and individuals in need.
🌟 Looking Ahead
We’re working toward launching a future B’Jeweled Foundation to provide summer and after-school programs focused on empowerment, self-expression, and leadership for middle and high school students.
- When you shop with B’Jeweled, you’re not just supporting a small business.
You're joining a movement of confidence, care, and community.
